Sheds Splash Immediately
Industrial Grade Pyrojacket® withstands repeated exposure to molten steel, molten aluminum, and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C). Heavy coating of proprietary iron oxide red silicone rubber sheds molten metal splash immediately, minimizing heat transfer.
Withstands Intense Radiant Heat and Flame
Withstands continuous exposure to 500°F (260°C). Handles intermittent exposure up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15–20 minutes. Resists short-term exposure up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15–20 seconds. When exposed to flame, the silicone rubber transforms into a protective SiO2 refractory crust. All temperature ratings are DMT certified.
Construction
Constructed from a high-bulk knitted fiberglass sleeve. Silicone rubber outer coating provides durability, abrasion resistance, and thermal protection. Excellent modulus of elasticity makes it ideal for bundling hoses, tubes, and cables.
Personnel Protection and Energy Efficiency
